Golden Beach & Pelican Waters Community Association Inc.
We created life and spirit in the Golden Beach, Diamond Head & Pelican Waters community for 77 years.
# Formed in 1947
# Incorporated in 1995
# In 2020 to reflect the representative area members approved both a change to the name, and functions, of the Golden Beach Progress Association to Golden Beach & Pelican Waters Community Association Inc. (G.B.P.W.C.A. Inc)
# In 2024 the Association was disbanded for a number of factors including the limited number of financial members and volunteers willing to be involved and support the Association's goals.
Formed in 1947
It was our 75th Anniversary in 2022.
75 years of continuous operation was such an achievement for a volunteer community group. Congratulations to ALL past Presidents, Senior and Junior Vice Presidents, Secretaries and Treasures for your commitment. Special thanks to all those members who joined our community group, for without you the Association would not have existed.

Before closing down in June 2024 the GBPWCA Inc liaised with the Sunsine Coast Council and donated two park tables and benches in the Landsborough Parade Park in Golden Beach.
It gives us great pleasure to see how popular these have become.
A final donation to the community
Before closing we had enough money, raised through fundraising, to donate another table and benches in Porter Park in Golden Beach.
A beautiful park to spend some time in.
The Association had to fundraise to cover operating costs.
Like many community groups Bunnings Sausage Sizzles were an excellent way to raise funds. It was always a lot of work but also enjoyable at the same time. Thank You Bunnings.
From time to time, depending on the community event, we also conducted raffles to raise funds.
The support from local businesses was always awesome.
Thank You.
Quarterly meetings
Regular meetings on the third Thursday of the advertised month were held, with guest speakers in attendance.
Informing the community
The Association held community forums.
For the Local, State or Federal elections we hosted Meet the Candidates nights for members and visitors.
Sunday's Live
Sundays Live were very popular events held in William Landsborough Park, in Golden Beach.
These afternoons of music gave upcoming musicians a chance to perform in public.
